Dr. Vasant Bawa has written several books including two on the Nizams of Hyderabad. He is Founder of the Deccan Studies journal.  He is involved with Gandhian and Peace Studies and with Urbanization, City Management, and Conservation of Heritage including Architecture. Latin American Studies and International Affairs are his other interests.

Dr. Oudesh Bawa's interests lie in the origins of Urdu in the Deccan and the study of modern Urdu and Telugu novels. 

They are members of the Centre for Deccan Studies and the Hum Sab Hindustani Trust.
